It's like if they just tried greenlighting more mob shows after Sopranos. You have The Outsider and Mare of Easttown and Perry Mason trying to be the next True Detective without just finding the great original writer who created something entirely new. Where's the trend setter, innovators of Sopranos, The Wire and True Detective? Not that they don't still make quality shows, but from what I see now it just looks like their priorities are digging more into their libraries or aping off their own trend setters in order to find the next big show. ![]() HBO itself has been lacking since Bloys took over. A writers room spin off of Martin's books is a lot less interesting than Martin's material. Not to mention there are no Martin novels to adapt. It just looks like GOT with more Targaryans. Comes off more like them trying to find another hit or make more "content" than something genuine. This site has been barred from the bugmenot system.
